Since when do you play for the German All Stars Singapore?
A. I m the second old “walross” in our team….oooh aja maybe the first the other one is a cat…;-)…I m playing since 1996 for the german team
Q. Most memorable football moment?
A. 1:0 DDR – BRD 1974 during the Worldcup, I never will miss this moment with 10 when Juergen Sparwasser help the Schoen-Team to go the easier way to win the Worldcup….or was it Mielke who helped…..hmmmm…. but an other great moment came with 15 during a training camp with our female Physio…;-) I changed from youth to senior player….or when I played my first game for my ever dream team Hertha….just the Amateure but Hertha.:) actually many unnamed colorful Moments…find it out urself
Q. Who is your favorite Football player and why?
A. olle “Loddar” Matthaeus he was playing during my time and a genie and team worker too….but not everybody darling….maybe like me…;)…an I remember East Berlin woke up after his goal in World cup 1986 in Mexico and even the Schupos celebrated….pssst
Q. Which is your favorite team and why?
A. Actually there are few….of course meine alte “Hertha” but even the high pace style from Arsenal or the perfect way of Chelsea where you can see exactly the tactics and discipline how to play and the other way an enjoyable way of Barcelona.But respect to Bayern Munich what they did for the german football reputation. And not to forget big Teams like Jena 4:0 at home against Roma after 0:3 in Rom or 1.FC Magdeburg in the 70’s and Dresden in the 80’s included a fantastic game (even lost) against Uerdingen 3:7…. unforgettable.
Q. Why do you play football?
A. It’s just this amazing game which let you play as a team or loose as an individual…you can call me 3am and ask for a game….I will always come…even late..:)
Q. What was the best moment of your life?
A. I had several moments….but really freezing was the moment of open this f…cking terrible gate…the Berlin Wall…and later standing under the Brandenburger Tor and celebrating the first new Year….with Russian Champagne “Krimskoje” ;) And of course to married my wife and to be every time the first who looks Eyes in Eyes to all of my Kids…and to carry and wash the butt’s…. I love you all ….:x
Q. Any footballing superstitions?
A. No SEX before a game…;P
